"Micro-Weddings/Elopements/Minimony(s)." Whatever you like to call them, it appears smaller weddings are here to stay — at least for the foreseeable future.  How things used to be Many wedding photography businesses have been built on the premise that a wedding shoot lasts all day, that there will be "getting-ready" shots needed of at least one half of the couple, that after the ceremony there'll be family photos and a celebration to cover, and that in many cases a second photographer will be needed to fully capture the day’s events. “Art is the most intense mode of individualism that the world has known.” – Oscar Wilde  In this series we shine a light on artists expressing their individuality, documenting what they love, working hard on their craft, and sharing it with the world. We spoke to Liam Vandenberk, a commercial and landscape photographer and videographer who’s using his work for what he says is most important in life — “happiness”. Liam is based in Tauranga and currently living on the coast of Papamoa. Liam says he left school with no interest in anything but gaming, To View More >>

If you build your business on In-Person Sales, you have a huge advantage over competitors who can't — or won't — do the same. Online is great to get your name out there, great to sell prints to friends and family, fantastic for high volume, low price print sales … but, for high-end sales, getting face-to-face with your clients, in your studio, is best. In future posts, we'll talk more about sales strategies. This post is just about the benefits of buying Studio Boxes in bulk, by which we mean carrying your own stock of mats and boxes in To View More >>

Following the opening of The Papatuanuku Series we spoke to Tessa Williams from Moemoea Collective about the idea behind the work, and the launch itself. "Man, it really was just the most incredible evening! The atmosphere was on fire, with everyone who attended blown away, not only by the photos but the launch itself. I knew that the majority of the 150 who attended had never had the pleasure of going to an art launch, so I did everything I could to ensure they had the same experience as a regular gallery-goer, in the hopes to start them on their own art journey." In the past, Queensberry's online designer has never had a cover proofing function and we’re excited to announce that you can now proof plain, embossed, photo front and wrap-around covers. You will be able to see a preview in the designer, where you can adjust photos, change the embossing text and see what the cover will look like with your album. Your clients too will be able to see the cover using Queensberry’s fully integrated album proofing. We will be releasing cover motifs, designable and custom canvas covers in the New Year. To see how it works watch the short video below. Thanks,  To View More >>

You've sent your album design to your client for proofing, now what? Using a proofing system could be a little daunting if you've never done it before, so we've created a tutorial specifically for your clients to follow so that you can get their feedback and order the album. We've even made it so when your client opens up their album design, the tutorial will appear in front of them so there's no need to do anything.  Do you have any feedback? We regularly update album proofing to make it work better for you. Contact us if you have any comments or suggestions. Victoria To View More >>
